Trek On Horseback
Students will arrive at the training site on Friday afternoon at which time there will be an orientations session. On Saturday morning students will receive training regarding the proper way to put a saddle and bridle on a horse after which time we will depart on horseback.
We will ride to our wilderness base camp, tie up and feed the horses, set up camp and cook dinner over an open fire
pit. Instructors will be available to answer any survival and/or homesteading type question you might have during the evening after dinner.
The next morning students will cook a country breakfast over the fire after which they will saddle their horses and we will depart the
base camp on our return trip on horseback.
This trip is schedule during the time when the color is at peak in southern Ohio so it will be absolutely beautiful in the woods. No previous experience is required for this trip.
This trip is geared toward just having a relaxing time enjoying the beauty of nature and great meals over the fire while addressing any questions you might have regarding survival our setting up of your own homestead. You will also learn quite a bit about horsemanship and the care of horses.
