CANADIAN WILDERNESS TREKS

 FOOD PROVIDED

This is a hands on survival training course in the Canadian wilderness.  Students will receive one week on intensive survival training in a remote wilderness setting where they can put their knowledge to work immediately.  Food will be provided daily on this trip which students will cook over a campfire, however, students will supplement those meals with fish and other food that they procure.  We incorporate the best parts of many classes into this one very premium experience to include evasion survival techniques which are not offered in any other class.   Click here if you would like to review the types of survival skills that you will be performing on each of these treks as time allows.

HARD CORE SURVIVAL - NO FOOD PROVIDED

We will meet students at a pre-arranged destination in Ontario Canada where students will board float equipped Aircraft and be transported by bush pilots deep into a very remote wilderness location. These aircraft can also transport canoes so we will have them available at our base camp.

Once we arrive at our selected wilderness location students must set up a base camp and transition into a full-blown survival mode immediately as we will have no food or water or transportation out for almost two weeks. Students will be given a list of all parameters for the base camp.

Students will be given a very comprehensive list of survival skills that they must  perform during the duration of the wilderness trek in order to successfully compete the course and receive certification from our school. Instructors will assist students on each of the required skills until they have mastered them.

We will have satellite communications with us in the event of an emergency of any type.

The Wilderness trek to Canada is designed for those who want to put their survival skills to the ultimate test. We require that you are in fact capable of such a trip, as it is rigorous and demanding. Your skills must be extremely proficient, as we carry no food or water.

Obtaining water won't be as difficult as the food. If you fail to procure food you won't eat, keeping in mind that survival on this trip is a team effort. If any member of the trip procures food everyone shares. After spending time in this beautiful and peaceful wilderness setting you won't want to return to civilization.

With the skills we plan to impart too you during this trek you really wouldn't have to return as everything you need to survive in comfort is free providing your awareness levels are high enough to recognize the resources of nature and your skill levels are good enough to secure them.

This trek will take place in Northern Ontario Canada. Students will navigate and walk into a remote location where they will set up a base camp near water and immediately start the process of food and water procurement. We will be teaching new skills and working on all skills at the base camp and along the trail. We will move to several different locations and set up a number of camps.

Along with wilderness survival skills we will touch upon wilderness evasion which would allow you to move through an area undetected. We will address the issue or staying alive while remaining undetected.

There will be no weight restrictions - bring whatever you can carry. Students will be moving, navigating, procuring water and food, constructing shelters, building fires without matches and without flints, cleaning game, identifying edible plants and a host of other activities aimed at wilderness survival. If we locate a nice waterfall you might even get a wilderness shower. Canada represents one of the best places in the world for rural evasion, as the country is massive and filled with exploitable assets (abundance of water and wildlife).

Students will be given excellent training and direction but they are on their own to survive as a group. This is not a Boy Scout or camping trip - this is a down and dirty stay alive in the wilderness exercise. This trip is not recommended for anyone who does not have strong survival skills or is not in good physical condition. We are not going to push hard but good skills and physical conditioning just make the whole experience smoother and more enjoyable.
